Penn State Wireless
Penn State is replacing the psu wireless network with eduroam as the University’s primary network. The existing psu network will be retired on November 21.
For Students
eduroam
All devices, including computers, tablets, and smartphones, must be connected to the eduroam network and reconfigured to support the new authentication method. Most TVs, smart speakers, and game consoles cannot connect to eduroam and will need to be connected to psu-personal.
psu-personal
The roomgear network in the residence halls will be replaced by psu-personal on June 30. If your device is registered on the roomgear network, it will work on psu-personal, a supplemental network for devices that do not support eduroam.
For Faculty and Staff
eduroam
Faculty and staff need to connect their personally owned devices to eduroam. If your personal devices cannot connect to eduroam, they must be connected to psu-personal. You will receive more detailed instructions for University-managed devices, including Penn State–issued laptops, tablets, and phones provided by the University for work purposes. It is not recommended to reconfigure University-managed devices until instructed by your unit’s IT support team to do so.
