VoiceThread Login Improvements

VoiceThread has implemented changes that improve authentication with Canvas on iPhones and Macintosh computers. Users of these devices are no longer required to turn off the “Prevent cross-site tracking” setting in Safari for VoiceThread to work with Canvas.

These changes have slightly altered the login steps for all users who log in through the website directly and not through Canvas.

The updated website login steps are as follows:

1. Navigate to voicethread.psu.edu
2. Click on the Log in Button
3. Click on Sign in via institution
4. Type Penn State in the text box
5. Select “Penn State University” from the drop-down menu
6. Click on the Yellow “Sign In” button
7. (If Asked) Authenticate with your PSU email and Password
